Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya
Founded in 1938 by Dr. K. M. Munshi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is today an all India Intellectual, Cultural, and Educational Movement dedicated to the twin tasks of interpreting the age-old yet ageless message of our country of integration of our varied and vibrant culture with the changing needs of the present day world. During over seven decades of its existence. The Bhavan has come to be recognized as a symbol of India’s glorious past and as a comprehensive national institution with an international outlook touching all the facets of life and enriching all spheres of activity.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan conducts classes from kindergarten to post-graduate research and imparts education in subjects ranging from carnatic music to computers, from sanskrit to business management and from yoga to journalism. This being accomplished through its centres spread all over the country and abroad, its constituent institutions, its various publications cultural and educational programmes that it conducts from time to time and above all through personal discussions and dialogues.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya is a Senior Secondary Public School, It strives comprehensive quality education to develop all the facets of a child’s personality in keeping with the aims of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s. The School was started as a community service project in April, 1954. Its management was taken over by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan after Delhi home of the Bhavan was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 18th May, 1957.
The School is recognized by the Delhi Administration and is permanently affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It has Classes from Nursery to XII and prepares pupils for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school provides education in Humanities, Science and Commerce streams.
